Reimbursement is capped at what AAA would have charged for the same service under your membership tier (Classic, Plus, or Premier).

The 5-step reimbursement process

1. Get a detailed, paid receipt at the scene. Provider name, address, phone, date, time, service performed, vehicle year/make/model/VIN, location, and itemized cost.
2. Note why you didn't use AAA. Long ETA, unsafe location, AAA dispatch declined the call, etc. A short written statement strengthens the claim.
3. Download the AAA reimbursement form from your regional AAA club's website (the form name varies by region — search "AAA roadside reimbursement form" plus your club).
4. Submit within 60 days of service. Most clubs accept email, mail, or upload through the member portal.
5. Expect a check in 4–6 weeks for the covered amount. If they deny, call member services and reference your membership tier's service limits.

How much will AAA actually pay?

• Jump start / lockout / fuel delivery / tire change: Usually reimbursed in full up to the equivalent AAA service rate.
• Towing: Reimbursed up to your plan's mileage cap (Classic 5 mi, Plus 100 mi, Premier 200 mi for the first tow).
• After-hours / holiday surcharges: Generally not reimbursed beyond AAA's base rate — keep that in mind on Strip calls at 3 AM.
